Brooke Bailey has worked for private industry as an electrical engineer, and before joining Sarasota County, she was the operations manager and lab director at a 160 million-gallon-per-day water treatment facility serving over half a million residents. With Sarasota County, she began in 2021 by overseeing water treatment operations, planning, permitting, and compliance, held the position of interim public utilities director in 2023, and was promoted to the position permanently in 2024. Her expertise includes the application of Six Sigma Principles, implementing cost-saving measures, and successfully launching multimillion-dollar projects on a global scale. With a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma from the University of South Florida, she has also completed her Certified Public Manager (CPM) certification through Florida State University.
